Myitkyina

myitkyina-01Myitkyina is the capital and centrally located in the Kachin State. Visitors can tour the Myit Sone, the confluence of Maikha and Malikha Streams. Ayeyarwady, the most useful river in Myanmar has its source from this confluence and flows 1325 miles to the mouth of the river. The water over here is crystal clear.
The panoramic view of the scenario at Myit Sone with the unspoiled beauty of nature is beyond the expression of words and will definitely be a fine attraction to tourists. For mountaineering enthusiasts, expeditions to Mount Khaka Bo Razi and Mount Gam Lan Razi would be an adventure.

Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda

kyaikhtiyo-02Kyaikhtiyo pagoda is located in the small town called Kyaikhto, in the Mon State. This destination is 160km away from Yangon. The pagoda is 1100km above sea-level. It is a 11 kilometer uphill climb for the hikers from Kinpun base camp. The pagoda is also known as “the golden rock”. The meaning of Kyaik Hti Yo : According to Mon tradition, the name is a corruption of Kyaiki-thi-yo being derived as follows. In Mon language the word “Kyaik” means ” pagoda” and ” yo” ” to carry on the hermits head”, in Pali the word” ithi” means a hermit and therefore the name means ” the pagoda carried on the hermit’s head.
One of the wonder of the world , Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda ( Golden Rock ) , known as the Golden Rock (built in 574 B.C ). It lies 229 km far from Yangon and built on a huge boulder which stands on the extreme edge of the cliff, 3625 ft ( 1095.45 m ) above sea level.

Shittthaung Pagodas, Ananda Sandra Pillar, Andaw Thein temple, Yadanarpon temple, Dukkanthein or Htoke Kan Thein, Koe Thaung Pagodas, Pitakataik (or) the Library, Five Victory Pagodas, Palace Site, the ancient ruins of Mrauk U period, Mrauk U Museum showing information about the ancient Rakhine eras are the main places to visit in Mrauk U.

Myeik

myeik-01The Myeik archipelago situated on the southern Taninthayi Division of Myanmar (formerly known as Tennesarim coast of Burma. Around and on the east Myeik, there are many valuable tin mines, oil palm plantation, and rubber plantation and evergreen forest. On the Andaman Sea, many valuable Pearl breeding and fishing beds can observe in the sea. Pearl Island is the source of high quality pearls, and fishing is the traditional business along the coastal sea and islands.

 

 

Mawlamyaine

mawlamyein-01Mawlamyine (or Moulmein) is the capital of the Mon State in the Union of Myanmar. It is also the third largest city in the country, after Yangon and Mandalay. It has a population of about 240,000. Mawlamyine is an ancient Mon town. Mawlamyine is now being transformed into a modern city with many new public and private buildings coming up. Only the old pagodas on the Mawlamyine Ridge remind us of her ancient origins.
